Dinner

Tonight I made dinner for my whole family. First up, I made a salad with lettuce, cucumber, green bell pepper, and carrot. I shredded mozzarella on top and dressed it with lime-infused olive oil and cranberry-pear balsamic vinegar. Next I diced about seven, small, old-ish tomatoes my mom had intended for another recipe, poured about a table spoon of olive oil into a pot, and boiled the tomatoes with their juices and the olive oil. While they cooked, I minced two large cloves, a few leaves of basil, a small amount of sage, and some thyme. Next I poured the tomatoes into a food processor and made a paste, which ended up to soupy. So, I poured the mixture back into the pot and poured about half a can of tomato in. I turned the heat on low and added the herbs and garlic. While that heated, I spread a table spoon of butter onto two small loaves of bread. I minced some more sage and garlic and sprinkled it on top of the buttered breads. I put those in the oven to cook, and then I drained the pasta, put it back in the pot, added some olive oil and mixed it. Once everything was ready to be served, I swirled some pasta onto the plates, put a fair amount of the tomato sauce on top, and garnished it with some fresh basil. Voila! tonight was by far a success!

Some how... Some how break just seemed to fly on by. It's already Saturday the 22! How the heck did that happen?! Anyhow, I guess I'll tell about what I did for break. On Friday, I was feeling sick during lunch and decided to go home, only to miss the flamenco dancing I was really looking forward to. When I got home, I slept for 2 hours, which is very unlike me. What a way to spend February 14! At least I wasn't sick for the rest of the week. On Saturday my sister, my mom and I went to Edisto Beach, SC with our puppy. There was a Euro Van meet-up at our camp ground, so we fit right in with our pop-top! For the rest of the week all I really did was go to gymnastics, eat, sleep, dog walk, dog pamper, play with legos, go to Ikea for a new den couch, eat 3 times at Souper Jenny's, read my new favorite web comic, Ava's Demon*, watch How I Met Your Mother and more and more; I guess that actually is a lot:) Ooh, I just remembered I have a meet tomorrow! I really hope my volt improves some more.

No School?!

      I have absolutely no idea why they cancelled school in the perfectly dry road weather. There was just no point. But I do get why they cancelled today. Until 2 there is a "Wintery Mix", not sure why The Weather channel didn't just put sleet and snow, from 3-5 "Frozen Rain", again, I'm not so sure why they couldn't have called it hail or sleet, "Wintery Mix" from 6-7, 8-5 "Snow", based on what they were calling things earlier, I would think they'd call it fluffy, frozen, rain or even frozen rain shavings. You'd think they would read Precipitation for Dummies at least once in their life.
       My mom, my dad and I made a bet when the call would come from the school today saying it is cancelled. My dad says the time from yesterday, 5:13 pm, my mom says before all the power lines go out, 3:00 pm and I say 4:00 pm for some random reason.

Physical Therapy

yesterday I went to the doctor because my arches had been hurting for about a year. The doctor took some x-rays and it turns out I have an extra bone in my arch on both feet. My feet are hurting because the tendon in my foot  pulls on that bone which, of course, irritates it. So now I have to go to physical therapy:( tomorrow I have to wake up at six to got to a 7:00 am appointment-.-

As of today, I'm going to do a blog post as often as I can so I can look back on this when I am in high school. I'm doing that right now by looking back on my older posts and I guess I hadn't  learned much grammer. It's weird though how the word grammer has the red dotted line under it...

a tale dark and grimm

I just finished A Tale Dark and Grimm in less than 2 days! it is sooooooooooo good. its supposed to be "the true story of hansel and gretel". and though it is a bit gory (oh sorry, i meant its very gory), IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
